Here is the latest VKR news –
Nanseikan Kangeiko 2017
This year we will be doing something different. We will be training at Nanseikan in the morning, then travelling to Tora Dojo to join in their training in the afternoon.
All VKR members are welcome to join! There will be car pooling to go between dojos, and a meeting point for lunch.
All details are at http://www.kendo.org.au/2017/06/next-week-training-at-tora-dojo.html
Just a reminder regarding the up-coming Otsuka Taikai on Saturday 15th of July.
Attached is a great looking poster to promote the taikai. Please send it to family and friends to spread awareness about this very important event for Melbourne Budokai.
If you practice Iaido and would like to compete, the deadline to let me know is fast approaching – Friday the 30th of June 2017.
If you practice Kendo, are graded 2nd Dan or below and would like to compete, please register on the day during the morning….you should be there regardless to help and watch the Iaido Taikai and the demonstrations. Kendoka who are ungraded and wearing full bogu, i.e. beginners, are encouraged to compete as it’s a great opportunity to do so. Please let me know if you can help with the running of the event – we’ll require people to assist with both the Iaido and Kendo Taikais.
Finally, details of the dinner have almost been finalised. Please let me know if you have any questions. Cheers and thanks in advance. Paul Bserani
Vice President Melbourne Budokai
