VKR Membership registration renewal for 2017/2018

For all MUKC members, you should have received reminders and emails regarding VKR membership renewal for 2017/2018. Please note you must be registered with the VKR in order for you to train at MUKC, VKR-affiliated clubs, attend competitions, attempt gradings, and most notably be covered by VKR insurance should you be injured during any trainings or events.

 

Extra Training with Sumi Masatake Sensei On Sun 4 June

Dear Kendo Clubs,

As a follow up on the Sumi Sensei Seminar, please be advised that there is extra competition training with Sumi Sensei on Sunday, 4 June 2017.

Event details below:

Date and Time: Sunday, 4 June from 9am-1pm.
Address: Castle Hill Library-Level 1 Community Centre, 14 Pennant St, Castle Hill 2154
Cost: $20 per person, purely to cover the hall booking!

After training, there will be lunch together with Sensei at Castle Towner (shopping centre Thai Food).

Queensland Kendo Renmei Seminar, Tallebudgera, 1-2 July

Dear kendoka,

Queensland Kendo Renmei is holding a seminar on 1-2 July 2017 at the Tallebudgera Leisure Centre in Gold Coast. Please see below for further information.

Location: Tallebudgera Leisure Centre 1525 Gold Coast Hwy Palm Beach.
Hours: Doors open 0800 Bow in 0900 until 1700

Fees:
This year the fee will be 2 days $60.00
1 day $35 .00
Where there are 3 members in one family a family rate will be 2 full paying members any more than 2 pay half price for seminar.

Grading

During this seminar, the QKR will be offering grading opportunity to:

Yondan in Kendo and
Sandan in Iaido

Closing date for receiving grading applications is the 18th June 2017

1 Dan $60.00
2 Dan $75.00
3 Dan $90.00
