Volunteers Required: Kendo Demo on 2nd March 2017

Hi everyone

The VKR are looking for people who are available to participate in the following demonstration:

When: March 2nd, Thursday, 2pm – 3pm

Where: Newport Gardens Primary School, Cnr Maddox and Woods St, Newport,3015, VIC, Australia

Duration: 25-30 minutes

Background info on audience: Once a year, our school holds a Japanese Culture Day where Japanese students from Nagoya Women’s University come to our school (they are practicing teachers) and do activities with the children all day. From 2pm to 3pm, all the school students (approx 480) assemble in the gym and we have a demonstration – in the past it has been Karate, where a Sensei from a local Karate dojo comes and talks about the martial arts, shows some moves, involves a few kids etc.

Volunteers will be compensated for their time.

If you are able to participate, please reply in the comments below or send an email to secretary@kendovictoria.asn.au by Wednesday 15 February.

Thanks
Hoey
