REFLECTIONS ON JOINT TRAINING
Unfortunately I had to miss the joint training last night…. but here is some reflection on how it ran from Cyntheia. Please note that MUKEN have kindly invited Monash to come along and attend training with them on Monday 7th July.
“I want to thank everyone for a very spirited training tonight. The program was tight and a lot of you have just returned from exam breaks, so, I am very impressed and proud. Thank you to all the seniors who turned up, I hope you got something out of the shiai geiko and jigeiko.
Melbourne Uni were also very well represented with a good mix of seniors and junior kyu grades.
The training was high-spirited and everyone stepped up to help each other and gained from the kihon session. Keep this up and our club will only grow stronger.
While we missed out on winning the shiai, it was close and everyone fought with high spirit and clean kendo. We fielded a mostly beginners team against their more experienced players and you guys did us proud! We will learn from this and use the experience to develop a solid AUG training program.
INVITE TO TRAIN AT MELBOURNE UNI NEXT MONDAY
Melbourne Uni has extended an invite to all Monash members to join their training next Monday seeing that ours is cancelled. If you are interested in attending, please turn up. I encourage all beginners and seniors who are free to join the training.
