Training & Equipment
Training for Members
Regular trainings are held at Monash University Clayton Campus, Victoria, Australia. You will find us in the “Games Hall” at the Sports and Recreation Centre (building 1) at the following times:
- Monday 6:00pm – 8:00pm,
- Wednesday 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Training for Non-members
Please feel free to come and watch during our training times times! Note that the club usually takes a break during University breaks (mid semester, mid year, etc), so you may not see us during these periods.
We regularly have visitors from other clubs join us in our training. We welcome all kendoka from VKR/AKR-affiliated clubs! If you’re an experienced Kendo player, please feel free to contact us!
Equipment for Hire
We have limited sets of Bogu (armour) for hire. Please see one of the committee members for more information.
Club Store
The club has equipment you can buy including shinai, tenegui, heel protectors, etc. Please see a committee member at training to purchase equipment. Note that equipment will not be available to purchase at every training due to stock, or time shortages – talk to a committee member in advance of the day you want to purchase equipment! The prices are:
- Shinai – $30
- Shinai Bags
- Single – $10
- Double – $20
- Triple – $30
- Tenugui (new, dragonfly design) – $10
- Heel Protector – $15
